CAMPING IN WESTPORT

       DAY 1

First, we waited in the library. Then we had to put on hand sanitiser before we got on the bus, we got on the bus. After that we went to Punakaiki and did a scavenger hunt. We looked for dolphins, NZ fur seals, a spider, cave weta, fossils, and NZ flax. That's all I can remember. 

After that we went to Westport. Then we went swimming. After that we got back to camp. I stayed in a room with Ava, Billie, & Millie. After tea we went to bed on the bunks. Millie and I read a book. Later we went to sleep and Ava started talking, it was really annoying. Then I fell off the bed twice. Millie and Ava stayed up all night.

DAY 2

We woke up at 6.00am in the morning. We had breakfast and went to sit in our room. After 15 minutes, we went swimming at the Westport pool. It was really fun; 20 minutes later we went back to camp. 

After that we went on a big walk at Denniston. Denniston was a coal mine place. It was really cool because there was a fake horse and we got to sit in an old bus. After the big walk, we went back to camp and had tea.  After tea we did a talent show but I wasn’t in it because I had something wrong with my eyes. then we went to sleep.

DAY 3

We woke up at 7.00am in the morning. We had breakfast and left. First We went to the beach, had lunch and then went to see the seal colony. After we saw the seals we went for a walk along the shore line of the beach. 

Then we went on a train ride. It was really scary because it was bumpy. After that we went back through the reefton way to Greymouth because there was a tsunami warning. When we got to Greymouth we all got off the bus and our parents picked us up. Then we all went home to bed.
